Claire Vaucher is a New York City based Actor, Singer, Dancer, and Director. She grew up in historic Marblehead, Massachusetts and loved spending her summers on Cape Cod and the Islands. Growing up Claire always had a deep love for the performing arts. From attending Acting Manitou in the summer to receiving the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Leading Actress Award, performance has always been her passion.
In 2015, she moved to NYC for her undergraduate degree, where she attended Marymount Manhattan College with a Musical Theatre Concentration and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While attending MMC, Claire discovered her passion for Movement Direction, Shakespeare, and Checkov as well as musical theatre. Claire’s insight led her to multiple opportunities as an assistant director and movement associate on two main stage productions. These opportunities continued to nourish her acting and helped develop a deeper love for the characters she played, from those of Shakespeare to those of Sophie Treadwell.
Her curiosity even led her to spend a summer backpacking France, practicing her 8 years of French, and discovering her passion for food and travel. When not performing Claire has a passion for all things French, floral design, contemporary art, and trying new recipes!
